TET Exam Qualification details:
Lower Primary TET:
Applicants must have 50% (45% Marks for SC/ST/OBC) marks in Higher Secondary or its equivalent with 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education [by whatever name known] from recognized institutes. (As per NCTE Norms)
Upper Primary TET :
Applicants should have Graduation with at least 50% marks from UGC recognized University with 2-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) or from recognized institutes 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education [by whatever name known] from recognized institutes.

CLARIFICATION ON TET ELIGIBILITY
As per NCTE norms and RTE Act 2019 A candidate must Passed HS with 50% Mark(45% for Reserved ) and must have passed D.El.Ed for Lower Primary TET and for Upper Primary TET a candidate must passed Graduation with 50%(45% for Reserved) with D.El.Ed.
Candidate in Last Semester of D.El.Ed. are eligible too but they have to produce D.El.Ed. certificate for get their TET mark sheet.
TET 2019 Age limit :
For appear in Assam TET 2019 Age Limit for TET exam is Minimum 18 years of candidates should be not more than 44 years.
TET 2019 Medium:
Like earlier Assam TET examinations hold by Govt. of Assam, for the forthcoming TET, question papers will be prepared and printed in five mediums i.e Assamese, Bengali, Bodo, Hindi, & English.

Assam TET 2019 Application Form Mode :

TET Certificate Validity :
As per previous Assam TET & as per NCTE norms, TET Certificate validity is for 7 years as per NCTE norms. So candidate who will pass Assam TET 2019 with the required Marks gets the validity of TET Certificate for 7 years.
TET 2019 Exam Date :
Assam TET 2019 will be conducted both for the LP & UP level in the State of Assam including 6th Schedule districts in the year 2019 tentatively on 22nd or 29th September 2019.(Candidate are requested to wait for the Official Notification for confirmation)
TET 2019 Eligibility Certificate:-
Candidates who score 60% (90/150 marks) of the total marks would be considered qualified for Assam TET 2019 as per NCTE norms.
However, the reserved category candidates are required to score only 55% marks (83/150 marks) to qualify.
Candidates who qualify the exam would be getting the Assam TET 2019 Marksheet cum certificate from Govt of Assam.
TET Marksheet cum certificate valid for 7 years from date of the issue.
Assam TET 2019 Minimum Qualifying Marks:-
NCTE fix the minimum qualifying marks for all the candidates who will appear for TET and the candidates will have to secure marks according to the minimum qualifying marks in order to qualify the exam.

News Source: The Sentinel Fresh Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) To Be Conducted This Year
GUWAHATI: The education department of Assam has decided to conduct fresh Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) for Lower Primary (LP) and Upper Primary (UP) level tentatively on September 22 or 29, 2019. A meeting of the Empowered Committee, Elementary TET was held on March 20, 2019 to discuss the matter relating to carry out a new TET. The validity of TET certificate of TET held on 2012 which has already expired and other related issues.During the meeting, it was decided that as the validity of Teacher Eligibility Test is only for seven years as per National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) norms has already expired since the last TET was conducted on 2012 followed by a few special TETs. As such, a proposal was sent to NCTE for extension of the validity of TET pass certificate upto March 31, 2020. The tentative date for the new TET examination is decided to be September 22 or 29 and will be conducted for the LP and UP level in the State of Assam. Moreover, the question papers will be printed in five mediums: Assamese, Bengali, Hindi, Bodo and English. As a third party may be engaged, the mode of submission and receipt of application will be online.
