Applications are invited by Northeast Frontier Railway for engagement 4499 posts of Act Apprentices for training under Apprentices Act,1961 for the year 2019-20 in the ITI trades of  Machinist, Welder, Fitter, Carpenter, Diesel Mechanic, Painter, Electrician, Turner, Refrigerator and AC Mechanic, Lineman, Mason, Fitter Structural, Machinist (Grinder), Information & Communication Technology System maintenance  & others. in Katihar & TDH Workshop, Alipurduar, Rangiya, Lumding, Tinsukia, New Bongaigaon & Dibrugarh & Division. Age limit: 
Minimum 15 years & maximum of 24 years as on 01-01-2020. The upper age limit is relaxable for SC/ST/08C and PH & Ex. Serviceman as admissible.

Required Educational Qualification: 
Must be passed 10th class examination or its equivalent (under 10+2 examination system) with minimum 50% marks, in aggregate, from recognized Board.

Technical Qualification :
Passed ITI in relevant trades approved by NCVT/SCVT.

Mode of Selection: 
*Selection will be on the basis of merit list prepared (trade wise) in respect of all the candidates who apply against the notification in respective Units.

*The merit list in each unit will be prepared on the percentage of marks obtained in matriculation with a minimum 50% (aggregate) marks.

Stipend: 
Stipend to the selected candidate will be paid as admissible as per extant instruction.

Payment of Fees:
Application Fee (Non-Refundable) Rs. 100/-(Rupees One Hundred Only)

No Fee is required for SC/ST/PWD/Women candidates.

Candidate can apply only in one unit and that too only in one particular trade. If the candidate applies for more than one unit/ trade his/her application will not be considered and rejected.

Candidate Note: 

Imparting Training in Railways will not confer any right to the candidates for their absorption in Railway after the successful completion of training.
