Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) under Assam Agricultural University (AAU) has released employment news notification for the recruitment 58 posts of “Senior Scientist-cum-Head, Subject Matter Specialist, Programme Assistant (Lab Technician), Programme Assistant (Computer), Farm Manager and Other various” latest vacancies. KVKs under AAU Vacancy 2021 Details
1. Senior Scientist-cum-Head under KVKs of AAU
No. of Posts: 06
Essential Qualification: Doctoral degree in the relevant field of Agriculture/Animal Science/ Fisheries/Community Science/Horticulture/Sericulture with 8 years experience (excluding the period spent in obtaining Ph.D. Degree) in the relevant subject as Scientist/Lecturer/Extension Specialist or in an equivalent (prescribed) having contributions to research/teaching/extension education as evidenced by published work/innovations and impact.
Desirable: Specializations in implementing extension education programme
Pay: Rs. 1, 31,400/- (Level 13A in Pay Matrix, 7th Pay, ICAR norms)
2. Subject Matter Specialist under KVKs of AAU

Essential Qualification:
i) Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture/Horticulture/Animal Science as the case may be with OGPA.
ii) 55% marks or an equivalent OGPA of 3.00 in 4.00 point scale or 7.00 in 10.00 point scale at the Master Degree level (relevant subject) from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from a foreign University.

3. Subject Matter Specialist (Agro-meteorology) under KVKs of AAU
No. of Posts: 12
Essential Qualifications:
1) Bachelor degree in Agriculture with OGPA 3.00 in 4.00 point scale or at least 6.50 in 10.00 scale.
2) 55% marks or an equivalent OGPA of 3.00 in 4.00 point scale or 7.00 in 10.00 point scale at the Master’s Degree level in the discipline of Agro-meteorology/Meteorology/Agronomy/Agricultural Physics from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from a foreign University.
3) Preference will be given to the candidates with Agro-meteorology qualifications.
Desirable Qualifications: Knowledge of Computer application as reflected from acquiring PGDCA from a reputed institution.

4. Programme Assistant (Lab. Technician) under KVKs

Essential Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in the relevant field (Computer Science/Computer Application/Information Technology) or equivalent from a recognized University/Govt. Organization.
Pay: Rs.35,400/- (Level 6 in Pay Matrix, 7th Pay, ICAR norms)
7. Assistant (erstwhile Office Superintendent-Cum-Accountant)
No. of Post: 01
Essential Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in any subject from a recognized University with 5 years work experience in Accounts and establishment.
Pay: Rs.35,400/- (Level 6 in Pay Matrix, 7th Pay, ICAR norms)
8. Stenographer Grade-III (erstwhile Jr. Stenographer-Cum-Computer Operator)
No. of Posts: 04
Essential Qualification: Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University with working knowledge of computer (minimum 6 months Diploma in Computer Application).
Professional Efficiency: The candidates will be given one dictation test in English at 80 w.p.m. for 10 minutes. The candidates will be required to transcribe the matter in 50 minutes on computer.
Pay: Rs. 25,500/- (Level 4 in Pay Matrix, 7th Pay, ICAR norms.
9. Agromet Observer under GKMS Scheme in the KVKs
No. of Posts: 12
Essential Qualification: Higher Secondary (10+2) in Science
Desirable Qualification: Basic knowledge of Computer operations as reflected from acquiring 6 months Diploma Course in Computer from a reputed institution
Pay: Rs. 21,700/- (Level 3 in Pay Matrix, 7th Pay, IMD norms).
10. Driver (erstwhile Driver-cum-Mechanic)
No. of Post: 01
Essential Qualification:
(i) Passed HSLC or its equivalent examinations from a recognized board.
(ii) Driving licence for both heavy and light vehicles from the appropriate Authority (the candidate will have to pass the practical skill test to be taken by an appropriate Committee of the University)
(iii) Two (2) years experience of driving in Govt./Semi Govt. establishment/Autonomous Bodies
Desirable:
(i) One year trade certificate in the relevant field from ITI,
(ii) Experience of motor mechanic work.
pay: Rs.21,700/- (Level 3 in Pay Matrix, 7th Pay, ICAR norms)
Age limit:
I. Maximum upper age limit for the Post of Senior Scientist-cum-Head is 47 years as on 01.01.2021
II. Maximum upper age limit for the Post of Subject Matter Specialist; Programme Assistant (Lab. Technician); Programme Assistant (Computer); Farm Manager is 38 years as on 01.01.2021.
III. Maximum upper age limit for the Post of Assistant; Stenographer Grade –III; Driver & Agromet Observer is 40 years as on 01.01.2021.
IV. Age relaxation for the reserve category will be as per norms of the Govt. of Assam
V. The candidates who are permanent residents of Assam should only apply for all category of posts except for the post at Sl No 1).
How to Apply of KVKs under AAU Recruitment
i) Application form in prescribed format is to be submitted online at www.aau.ac.in/kvkrecruitment or before March 27th /2021
ii) Application fee is to be deposited with the application on online mode only. The prescribed fee
is Rs. 300/- in case of general candidates and Rs. 150/- in case of SC/ST/DAC candidates.
iii) Reservation shall be as per Government of Assam Rules.
iv) In-service candidates must submit forwarding letter from current employer along with the application
v) Applications received late and found incomplete will not be considered.
