Gauhati High Court has released two employment notifications for the recruitment of 141 Stenographer Grade-II & III and Court Manager Vacancy under Gauhati High Court. Interested and eligible candidates may apply online here. 

Gauhati High Court Recruitment 2023

1. Stenographer Grade-II

No of posts: 34

Educational Qualification:

- The candidate must be a graduate from a UGC recognized University as on the date of advertisement.

- Should possess a Diploma/Certificate in Stenography/ Shorthand from ITI/ Polytechnic/ any other institute. Candidates who are pursuing Stenography/ Shorthand may also apply. However, they must submit pass/ completion certificate/diploma to the High Court at the time of document verification, unless otherwise decided by the High Court.

2. Stenographer Grade-III

No of posts: 96

Educational Qualification:

- Candidate who has passed H.S. examination from any recognized Board/ Council/ University as on the date of advertisement.

- Should possess a Diploma/Certificate in Stenography/Shorthand from ITI/ Polytechnic/ any other institute. Candidates who are pursuing Stenography/ Shorthand may also apply. However, they must submit pass/completion certificate/diploma to the High Court at the time of document verification, unless otherwise decided by the High Court. 

3. Court Manager

No of posts: 11 [UR: 03, OBC/MOBC: 06, STP: 01 & STH: 01]

Educational Qualification:

- Bachelor Degree in any stream with Masters in Business Administration or Advanced Diploma in General Management from a University or Institution in India recognized by the University Grants Commission.

- 5 (five) years working experience in Process Management or I.T. Systems Management or Human Resources Management or Financial Management.

- Good computer application skill having at least 6 months diploma in Computer Application.

Other Criteria of Gauhati High Court Recruitment

Nationality: A candidate must be a citizen of India as defined in Articles 5 & 6 of the constitution of India.

Age Limit: 

Stenographer: Candidate’s age should not be less than 18 years and not more than 40 years as on the last date of application.

Court Manager:  Candidate’s age should not be less than 25 years and not more than 38 years as on the last date of application.

Age Relaxation: Category-wise age relaxation is as mentioned below.

- OBC/MOBC: 3 years

- SC: 5 years

- STP/STH: 5 years

- PWD: 10 years

Local Language Proficiency: Must have adequate knowledge of the official language (Assamese) of the State of Assam.

Employment Exchange Registration: The candidate must possess Employment exchange registration number for the state of Assam.

Application Fee :

Candidates have to pay the application as mentioned below according to their caste: 

Stenographer:

- SC/ ST: Rs.150/-

- PWD: Nil

- Others: Rs.300/-

Court Manager: 

- SC/ ST: Rs.250/-

- Others: Rs.500/-
