Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Guwahati has released a notification for the recruitment of 25 Assistant Project Engineer, Technician, JRF and Other Vacancy

IIT Vacancy Details:

1. Name of post : Assistant Project Engineer

No. of posts : 5

Qualifications :

(i) Candidates should be B.Tech in ME/PE/IN/MT with valid Gate Score. The candidates will be working on operating the 3D Printing facilities (powder-bed fusion) and conduct the experiments. The candidate must have the knowledge of 3D Printing. Preferable: Prior experience in operating the 3D Printing machines.

(ii) Candidates should be B.Tech in CSE with valid Gate Score. The candidate will be working in the Internet of Thing Laboratory. The candidate must have the knowledge on handling the server and network related issues.

(iii) Candidates should be B.Tech in EEE/ECE/EE with Gate Score. The candidate will be working in the Sensor & Actuator Fabrication Laboratory. The candidate must have the fundamental knowledge of Electronics and Electrical Engineering.

(iv) Candidates should be B.Tech in CE with Gate Score. The candidate will be working on the concrete 3D printing and preferably have the knowledge of construction materials.

2. Name of post : Associate Project Engineer

No. of posts : 4

Qualifications :

(i) Candidates should be M.Tech in ME. The candidates will be working on the CNC machines, Robotsand welding machines in the CoE of the TIH. The candidate must have the knowledge of basic programming. Preferable: Prior experience in operating the CNC machines,Robots, Welding machines.

(ii) Candidates should be M.Tech in CE/ B.Tech in CE+ 3 Year Exp . The candidate will be working on the natural resources laboratory and preferably have the knowledge of GIS and remote sensing

3. Name of post : Project Technician

No. of posts : 7

Qualifications :

(i) Candidates should be ITI+3 Year Exp/Diploma in EEE/ECE/EE. The candidate will be working in the centre of excellence of TIH which is having several laboratories. The candidate must have the knowledge of handling the basic electrical machines such as motors, circuits, and controllers. The preference will be given to the candidates with prior experience in operating the electric machines.

(ii) Candidates should be ITI+3 Year Exp/Diploma in CSE. The candidate will be working in the CoE of TIH which is having several laboratories. The candidate must have the knowledge on handling the server and network related issues

(iii) Candidates should be B.Com.+ 3 Year computer experience. The candidate will take care of purchase related tasks such as preparing the tender documents, advertisement for recruitment etc

4. Name of post : JRF

No. of posts : 7

Qualifications :

(i) Candidates should be M.Sc./B.Tech in ME/PE/IN. One candidate will be working in the fabrication laboratory which is equipped with 3/5-axis CNC machine, 3D printers, Welding machine and Robots. The candidate must have the knowledge of CNC programming. Preferable: Prior experience in operating the milling/welding/3D printing machines. Two candidates will be working in a product development laboratory which is equipped with 50 workstations. The candidate must have the knowledge of a CAD/CAM/CAE package. Preferable: Prior experience in CAD/CAM packages.

(ii) Candidates should be M.Sc./B.Tech in CSE. The candidate will be working in the Sensor & Actuator Fabrication Laboratory. The candidate must have the fundamental knowledge of Electronics and Electrical Engineering.

(iii) Candidates should be M.Sc./B.Tech in EEE/EE/ECE. The candidate will be working in the product development laboratory which is equipped with 50 workstations. The candidate must have the knowledge of assembling the workstations and handling operating system. Preferable: Prior experience in building and managing computer networks/troubleshooting/assembly/LAN administration.

5. Name of post : Project Engineer

No. of posts : 2

Qualifications :

 Candidates should be PhD ME. The candidate will be coordinating the different laboratories of the TIH. The candidate must have the knowledge of fundamental knowledge of FEM packages, and CAD packages. Also the candidate must have some experience on experimental work and teaching related activities.

Pay :

(i) Assistant Project Engineer : Rs 34310.00

(ii) Associate Project Engineer : Rs 41850.00

(iii) Project Technician : Rs 18650.00

(iv)  JRF :  Rs 18650.00

(v) Project Engineer : Rs 58090.00

Selection Procedure : 

An online interview will be held on 21st December 2020 (Monday) from 9: 30 AM onwards via Google Meet / Skype.
