BTC Forester-I and Forest Guard Recruitment 2026 for 157 posts under Forest Department, BTC.The Central Selection Board (CSB) of Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) has released a recruitment notification for the posts of Forester-I and Forest Guard under the Forest Department, BTC. A total of 157 vacant posts will be filled through this recruitment drive. Eligible candidates who are residents of the BTC area and have registered with the Employment Exchange of Assam can apply online through the official CSB website starting from 23 February 2026. The last date to submit the online application is 15 March 2026 (up to 12:00 midnight).

Eligibility Criteria
Forester-I: Candidates must hold a minimum Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized university or an equivalent qualification.
Forest Guard: Candidates must have passed the HS (10+2) examination or an equivalent exam.
Age Limit: Candidates must be between 18 and 40 years of age as on 1 January 2026. Relaxation of upper age limit for SC/ST candidates is 5 years and for OBC/MOBC candidates is 3 years, as per Government rules. You can calculate your age here to check whether you meet the age requirement.
Residence: Only candidates belonging to the BTC area can apply. Candidates from 60 newly added villages in Biswanath and Sonitpur districts under BTC’s Udalguri District are also eligible.

- OBC/MOBC/General ₹150
- ST/SC ₹100
Note: Payment can be made through UPI, Credit/Debit card, or Net Banking only. No other payment method will be accepted.
Selection Process
The selection will be done in three stages:
1. Physical Test: Walking test of 26 km for male and 16 km for female candidates, to be completed within 4 hours. This will be followed by a medical examination.
2. Written Examination: An objective-type (MCQ) exam of 3 hours duration carrying 100 marks. There is no negative marking.
3. Viva-Voce: Qualified candidates from the written exam will appear for a viva-voce test of 20 marks.

Candidates can apply online only through the official website of CSB, BTC. Follow the steps below to complete your application:
- Go to the official website of CSB, BTC at centralselectionboard.com.
- Find and click on the Forester-I / Forest Guard recruitment application link.
- Register using your Mobile Number and E-mail ID. Verify with OTP.
- Fill in your personal details, educational qualifications, and other required information.
- Upload your photograph (20KB to 100KB, JPG/JPEG) and signature (10KB to 50KB, JPG/JPEG). You can use our Image Resize tool to adjust your photo and signature size.
- Upload all educational documents, certificates, ID proofs, and other testimonials in PDF format (max 1MB each).
- Pay the application fee (₹150 for OBC/MOBC/General, ₹100 for ST/SC) via UPI, Credit/Debit card, or Net Banking.
Review your application and submit. Keep the scanned softcopy of all documents ready before applying.
Note: The number of vacancies may increase or decrease. Reservation of posts will follow the Sixth Schedule provisions of the Indian Constitution. Candidates already in government service need a No Objection Certificate (NOC).
